About Us
The philosophy of Forest Schools is to encourage and inspire individuals of any age through positive outdoor learning experiences. Humber Forest School runs programmes tailored around the group participants. Our Forest School leaders are trained to national standards and carry current CRB checks, insurance and first aid certificates. They seek to engage with the individuals through a safe, relaxed, encouraging environment in order to provide an enjoyable and rewarding woodland adventure.
Forest Schools have developed as a part of the Forest Education Initiative (FEI) which has been set up by the Forestry Commission to increase the understanding and appreciation of the environmental, social, and economic potential of trees, woodlands and forests and of the link between the tree and everyday wood products. Forest School is an inspirational process that offers children, young people and adults regular opportunities to achieve, and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland environment.
